Return to Cary-Lift

The Cary-Lift 254i provides exceptional power and maneuverability to move loads more effectively than articulated loaders, both in pipeyards and on rough terrain jobsites.

X-Command® Telematics

A standard feature for 2 years on the Cary-Lift, X-Command provides access to the real-time status of your Pettibone machine:

  • Remotely monitor equipment location and data: Engine hours, fuel usage, DEF level, battery voltage and much more.
  • Identify minor mechanical issues before they become serious.
  • Minimize downtime through remote diagnosis.
  • Get reports and notifications via web browser or mobile app.
  • Increase ROI by ensuring maintenance is up-to-date, and by eliminating certain field service calls.
  • Use current, accurate machine info to plan ahead on fleet maintenance.

The 254i is powered by a 225-HP Cummins QSB6.7 Tier 4 Final diesel engine with DOC and SCR aftertreatment. The unit includes an engine-driven fan, cooling package and engine block heater as standard equipment.

Joystick Control

Dual joysticks provides intuitive control of the hydraulics for lifting, tilting and reaching simultaneously.

Overhead Lift Arm

The unique overhead lift arm design gives the operator full front visibility when lifting, placing or transporting loads. The arms are mounted behind the cab, rather than in front where they would obstruct the forward view.

Solid Frame

Unlike other forward-reaching, articulated loaders, the 254i has a heavy-duty, solid steel frame design that allows it to take full loads into sharp turns without sacrificing load capacity or stability.

Wheel Base

Wheel base of just 12 feet provides a tight turning radius of 23 feet, 6 inches.

Excellent maneuverability thanks to 4-wheel drive with 2-wheel, 4-wheel and crab hydraulic power steering modes.

Hydraulic Frame Sway

Hydraulic frame sway control and side shift stabilize loads by leveling the lifting frame when driving on uneven ground. The sway cylinder moves 7 degrees both right and left of center.

90-Degree Fork Tilt Down

Cary-Lift forks are capable of tilting down 90 degrees for specialized lifting tasks.

The 254i is capable of reaching the forks out an extra 4 feet without having to reposition the machine. It offers a maximum lift height of 16 feet.

Fuel Tank

70-gallon (265 L) fuel tank capacity allows for longer operating intervals.

Operator Cab

A sliding door offers quick access to the comfortable cab, which includes a tilt/telescoping steering column and swiveling, adjustable suspension seat with padded armrests and lumbar support. A rear-view camera with 7-inch display is standard.

Camera and Windows

Standard rear-view camera and large tinted safety glass windows contribute to better visibility.

In addition to pipe and pole balers, the 254i can be equipped with a fork frame, log baler or scrap baler.

Air Conditioning

Keep the cab cool in warmer conditions.

Multiple tire sizes and types available to fit the application.

Service & Safety

Additional machine options include central lube, automatic fire suppression system and 5-minute shutdown.

Light Packages

Available to provide added illumination to the jobsite.
